This property appears to be a flip by a realtor and appears to have been purchased in 2007 for $562,000. Update: 5/22 - I viewed the property at the wine and cheese "twilight" showing. The open house was well attended and the house is open, light and bright with a great layout. The realtors really did do a nice job on the remodel while not going overboard. The master suite upstairs has a wonderful open "lofty" feel, but there are also no doors so all sounds from the upstairs loft/master bedroom/former attic, will travel downstairs (luckily, the 2nd bedroom is in the front of the house, creating some privacy).
The remodel was done with a eye towards keeping the resale price on the low-end (given the small square footage of the house footprint). I actually think this is a good strategy because it would have been difficult to price this house in the 800's given the small footprint. This also means, however, that the buyer will need to be content with countertops that are formica (although a very hip formica, if I might say so myself) and the stairwell leading up to the master bedroom is a spiral staircase on the inexpensive side. The backyard is cute and compact but sunny. There are two storage areas in the garage - one leading into the backyard and one adjacent to the parking spot. It would be hard to develop the basement space with an internal entry, but the space is perfect for storage, a workroom or a workout area.
I think this is a great buy in a nice neighborhood.
